This is a quilt top from last year that was a mystery quilt with Top Shelf Quilts. If you don’t know, a mystery quilt is done step by step. At the beginning, you get the fabric requirements and 1st clue. You don’t know what it will look like though. Then, each week or month, you get the next step to do.
(I’ve posted a couple blocks that I’ve made from a weekly mystery quilt I’m doing from Moda. This one is almost a year long mystery.)
I had bought a sand dollar fabric that inspired the colors. I wanted to be reminded of the beach and sea. I used a quilting pattern with fish to keep with the theme. The backing is a coordinating shot cotton. #7 of 14. Wow, halfway done.
Lucky me! I have a decent amount of left over fabrics from this, so I’ll be able to make a smaller quilt with it. I’m adding a seahorse print on tan to go with it. But not till all the quilting is done.
