Sewing this afternoon

I’ve been working on 2 tshirt quilts lately. The tops are finished and I went to load one on my mid arm machine, but the light right above it started flickering and going out. My hubby put up 2 4′ long LED lights for me and I love them. Nice and bright! But not with one out. Have to wait for him to get home and swap it out for me. Bummer!

I decided to make my block of the week for Moda Blockheads 2. This week is a 6″ block that I made with a sky theme in honor of the Worm Moon this week. Only 3 more blocks to go and it’ll be time to sew it all together and quilt it. It’s been fun so I hope they do another one. Great way to use up my scraps. Well, not use up, but at least use someone of them.

I also got a free pattern for a other house quilt. I love house quilts. I think I’ll make a Halloween village with that one.

Now I’m going to sew a Ruby gem block with Fairy Frost fabrics from Michael Miller. Here’s all the colors with the pattern pieces ironed on, ready to cut out.
